This document explains and demonstrates how to prepare your manuscript for The ISCE-2011. The best is to read these instructions and follow the outline of this text. The text area for your manuscript must be 17 cm wide and 25 cm high (6.7 and 9.8 inches, resp.). Do not place any text outside this area. Type your paper in approximately 21 x 29 cm or 8 x 11 inches (please do not change the document setting from A4 to letter) pages. Your manuscript will be reduced in size by the publisher (to adjust the proceedings and the journals size requirements) respectively. Please keep this in mind when designing your figures and tables etc.

I. Introduction
All manuscripts must be in English. Please keep soft copies of your manuscript in your office and in flash-disc (just in case anything gets lost in the mail upon your arrival). When receiving the manuscript, we assume that the corresponding authors grant us the copyright to use the manuscript for the books, proceedings, or journals in question. Should authors use tables or figures from other Publications, they must ask the corresponding publishers to grant them the right to publish this material in their paper.
Use italic for emphasizing a word or phrase; and do not use boldface typing or CAPITAL LETTERS. For headings and sub-headings, however (as above and below), please type them in boldface.
II. Organization of the Text
21 Section Headings
The section headings are in boldface, and followed with the paragraph thereunder in lowercase letters. Second level headings are typed as part of the succeeding paragraph (like the example of sub-heading given above).
Please number each sheet on top right of the page. We will change the pages number to adjust the proceedings, the books (if any), and the journals. Do not type anything (even a single character) outside these pages.
Tables (referred to with: Table 1, Table 2, and so on) should be presented as part of the text, and in such a way as to avoid confusion with the text. A descriptive title should be placed above each table. The caption should be self-contained and placed below the table to obtain clarity. Units in tables should be given in square brackets [meV], or you may use curly brackets {meV}, or standard brackets (meV).
Special signs like: α γ μ Ω () ≥  ± ●  Γ {11 0} should always be written in with the fonts Times New Roman or Arial. Make sure we do not lose the original signs when we recive them by email or when we copy and paste them.
Figures (refer with: Fig. 1, Fig. 2, and so on) should also be presented as part of the text, leaving enough space (on top and at the bottom of the figure) so that the capt¬ion will not be confused with the text. The caption should be self-contained and placed only below the figure. Only original drawings, photographic reproductions, or good quality photocopies are acceptable. Again, please position the figure by considering the correct alignments with the text. Only if it is very necessary you should include your figures as graphic images in electronic version. To obtain best quality the pictures you include should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).
Color figures are best welcome as we will also issue the proceedings, books, and journals. For our hard copies (of proceedings, books, and journals) however, we will—if necessary—reduce these figures to black and white. We will try best to avoid this reduction/change.
Equations (referred to with: Eq. 1, Eq. 2, and so on) should be indented 5 mm (0.2”). There should be one line of space above the equation and one line of space below it before the text continues. The equations have to be numbered sequentially, and the number put in parentheses at the right-hand edge of the text. Equations should be punctuated as if they were an ordinary part of the text. Punctuation appears after the equation but before the equation number, e.g. Otherwsie, you are recommended to photograph the equation to avoid damage upon received and copy-pasted for publication.

Literature References

References cited in the text are put in simple brackets (Brown, 2010:321), just like thesis style of reference. If pages are not available, as the sources do not provide ones, just mention the year of the reference (Brown, 2010).

The ISCE-2011 requires all of the references typed using MLA or APA format. Please use either one but do not combine the two styles when typing your references.
